GRANT CURLE

Walter Grant Curle, 73, died Nov. 14, 1997.

He was a son of the late Jack and Mary Howell Curle and the widower of Cleo Morris Curle. Mr. Curle was a retired farmer and former employee of Birdsong Peanut Co. He was a Merchant Marine veteran of World War II and a member of the C.F. Hunt Club and Buckhorn Baptist Church, Como, N.C.

He is survived by his daughter, Janet C. Vick; two grandchildren, Brandy and Randy Vick, all of Murfreesboro; three nieces, Regina Curle Parker of Murfreesboro, Pam Curle Carr and Gay Curle Sumner, both of Como. He was predeceased by a brother, Elvin B. Curle.

A graveside service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday in Poplar Spring Cemetery by the Rev. Larry Allen. The family will receive friends at the residence and suggests that memorials be made to the Como Volunteer Fire and E.M.S., c/o Pam Carr, 448 Buckhorn Church Road, Como, N.C. 27818.
