HEALY L. BAGWELL SR.

Healy L. Bagwell Sr., 70, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 1997, at his residence.

He was an Exmore native and the son of the late Roy and Inez Mapp Bagwell. He retired from the Naval Amphibious Base, Little Creek, and was a member of Bayside Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Catherine Carpenter Bagwell; two sons, Healy L. ``Lee'' Bagwell Jr. of New Bern, N.C., K. Bryan Bagwell of Chesapeake; a brother, Southey Mapp Bagwell of Richmond; and four grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Marion B. Doughty.

A funeral will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in Doughty Funeral Home, Exmore, by the Revs. Donald Wilson, Jonathan Carpenter and Bill Charnock. Interment will be in Red Bank Cemetery, Marionville, Va. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Bayside Baptist Church, 1920 Pleasure House Road, Virginia Beach, Va. 23455.
