Retired U.S. Army Major Jesse Stuart Morse, 80, of the 5200 block of West Lake Road, died Nov. 14, 1997, in a local hospital.
Born in New York City, he retired from the Army as a major after 20 years and he was a veteran of World War II and Korea. He was also retired from civil service as a contract administrator. A local business consultant, Mr. Morse was past president and chaplain of the National Contract Management Association. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans in New Hampshire for 37 years and of the Parkinson's Association.
Survivors include his wife of 55 1/2 years, Margaret R. Morse; a daughter, Barbara J. Beck of Portsmouth, N.H.; two grandchildren, Matthew T. Beck, David T. Beck; and a grandchild, David T. Beck.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Princess Anne Memorial Park. The family will be at the residence. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, is handling arrangements.
