HOSPITAL CHRISTMAS TREE TO FUND HEALTH-FIELD GRANTS

The Chesapeake General Hospital Auxiliary is sponsoring its annual seasonal ``Light the World For Someone You Love'' fund drive.

Proceeds from the drive will be used to benefit the CGHA scholarship program, which awards scholarships to Chesapeake students who will continue their studies in the health field. So far, the Auxiliary has awarded more than $50,000 in scholarships since the program began.

The goal for this year's drive is $4,000.

Donors can purchase lights to be placed on the official Chesapeake General Hospital Christmas tree, which will be illuminated during a special ceremony at 5

p.m. Dec. 5 at the hospital's atrium.

The tree lighting ceremony will include refreshments and holiday music.

A donation of $7.50 will purchase a tree light and a donation of $25 will buy a special star light, which will be placed at the top of the tree. There is no limit to the number of lights that can be purchased.

Lights can be dedicated to loved ones or in the memory of a friend, spouse or relative. Cards will be sent to each person or family member honored. Memorial dedication cards will also be mailed out.

Donation forms, which are available at the hospital, can be mailed to CGHA, P.O. Box 2028, Chesapeake, Va., 23320.

More information is available by calling 482-6109.
