JANE C. THOMAS

Jane Custis Thomas, 75, died Nov. 14, 1997, in a local nursing home.

Mrs. Thomas was a native of Norfolk, she was the daughter of the late John Connor Custis and Neta Belote Custis.

Survivors include her husband, Lewis M. Thomas; two daughters, Lew M. Thomas, Jane T. Sawyer, all of Virginia Beach; three sons, William J. Cannon of Virginia Beach, Richard E. Cannon of Bakersfield, Calif., Woodall C. Thomas of Virginia Beach; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a sister, Martha C. Walden of Richmond.

A church service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Oak Grove Baptist Church by the Rev. Paul Carter and the Rev. Joseph Brewer. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
