Presence of mayor-elect at official function elicits praise

To the Editor:

What a breath of fresh air! Finally, Kill Devil Hills gets the representation that it should have in its mayor-elect's presence at the Veterans Day activities.

For too long, the town has been ignored by the current elected board in various activities and functions. As evidenced at this particular function, none of the current board was present. An all-too-frequent display by our current leaders?

Enough of the phone calls that are not returned, enough of the lack of response for the citizens, and, yes, enough of the say-one-thing-do-another attitude that we are forced to endure.

Hats off to you Mayor-elect (Sherry) Rollason for truly caring for the town. You have a very difficult task ahead, and one that will require much of your energy, time and resources.

As you stated in your thank-you ads, together, we can get Kill Devil Hills back on track and moving forward.

Terry Gray,

Kill Devil Hills
