MAGGIE O. BLAKE

Maggie Odell Blake, 61, of the 600 block of Jefferson St. died Nov. 14, 1997,in an auto accident at the corner of Elm Ave. and Harrell St.

Born in Norfolk County, she had retired as a cook after 22 years of service with Sunset Manor Restaurant. She was a member of Holy Light Church of Deliverance and the Senior Choir.

Survivors include her husband, Percy Blake; three daughters, Sherri Spearman and husband, John, of Suffolk, Consevella Blake, Karren Lathan and husband, Robert, all of Portsmouth; two sons, Percy Blake III and wife, Melody, of Chesapeake, and Dwain Blake and wife, Valorie, of Portsmouth; her stepmother, Virgie Carney of Portsmouth; two sisters, Dorothy Elliott of Chesapeake and Inell Bunch of Portsmouth; two brothers, Hosea Carney of Chesapeake and Roeshell Carney of Portsmouth; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; an aunt, Annie Brown of New Jersey; an uncle, Arthur Turner of Portsmouth; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends, including a very dear, special friend, Penny Walker.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday in Holy Light Church of Deliverance, Portsmouth, by Dr. Samuel L. Carruth. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake.
