Chesapeake
Prentice Lamont Boone is wanted for failing to show up for a Nov. 13 bond hearing on a murder charge. He also is wanted for multiple counts of robbery, use of a firearm and abduction.
Boone, 20, is described as black, 5 feet 10 inches tall and 155 pounds. He has cut off the dreadlocks he was wearing in a police lineup photo.
Boone frequents the Crestwood and Arbor Glen sections of the city.
Portsmouth
On March 21, 1996, about 11:30 p.m., police were called to the 1600 block of Chestnut St. for a shooting.
They found Argolis Nathan Ford of Chesapeake on the steps of a church. He was dead.
Police have very little information and are trying to locate a woman who reported the incident in a 911 call from a nearby pay phone.
Virginia Beach
On Oct. 11, the Seaside Gift Shop in the 2400 block of Atlantic Ave. was robbed.
About 5:30 p.m., a clerk was approached by a man who displayed a weapon and demanded money from the register.
After the robber took the money, he told the clerk to turn around and not move for 10 minutes.
The suspect is described as white, between 40 to 45 years of age, 5 feet 9 inches tall and 165 pounds. He has brown hair with graying sideburns and a mole on the left side of his face above the lip.
He was wearing a white baseball cap with a tan bill, a grayish-blue pullover shirt, blue jeans and tennis shoes.
Newport News
Two fugitives are wanted on various felony charges including maiming and using a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Both are known to frequent the East End of Newport News and have a last known address in the 2400 block of Roanoke Ave.
Larry Alexander Burgess, 30, is wanted in connection with an Oct. 10 shooting in the 700 block of 35th St.
Burgess is described as black, 5 feet 4 inches and 170 pounds.
Michael Lee Burgess, 21, is wanted in connection with a Sept. 20 shooting in the 700 block of 34th Street.
Burgess is described as black, 21, 5 feet 7 inches and 155 pounds.
Hampton
Detectives are investigating a series of burglaries at the Tinee Giant in the 900 block of LaSalle Avenue.
The suspect in these burglaries breaks the front glass and enters the store. Once inside, he takes cigarettes and then flees.
The suspect is described as black, 18 to 22, 5 feet 7 to 5 feet 10 inches tall and about 200 pounds. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
