ROBERT R. BEALE SR.

Robert Roosevelt Beale Sr., 78, of the 800 block of Clearfield Ave. died Monday Nov. 17, 1997, at Chesapeake General Hospital.

Mr. Beale was the son of the late Thena Emily Phillips and Walter Beale. He retired from Richards Foundry as a moulder. Mr. Beale was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Chesapeake Seventh Day Adventists Church, Centerville Turnpike.

Survivors include his wife, Pansy Brown Beale of the home; a son, Bobby Beale of Chesapeake; two daughters, Joanne Owens of Virginia Beach, Gloria Jean Hewitt of Chesapeake; three sisters, Elma Hewitt and Mildred Fentress, both of Chesapeake, Addie Marsh of Richmond; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens, Cedar Road, by the Elder Rex Frost. The family will receive friends for visitation from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in Twiford Colonial Chapel, Great Bridge, Chesapeake.
