WALTER R. BRUMLEY

Walter Roger Brumley, 53, died Nov. 17, 1997, in a Fort Lauderdale, Fla., hospital.

Mr. Brumley was a native of Norfolk and had worked with Krispy Kreme Donut Co. for 31 years. He left his position as divisional vice president to become associate operator of the Krispy Kreme franchise in N. Miami Beach, Fla.

He is survived by his son, Douglas Robert Brumley of Nashville, Tenn.; his mother, Lucille Virginia Patrick of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Linwood Julian Brumley of Nags Head, N.C., and Terry Wayne Brumley of Virginia Beach.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, by the Rev. Eli Morris of Memphis, Tenn. Burial will follow in Knotts Island Cemetery, Knotts Island, N.C. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
