Madeline L. Simpson, Ph.D., a resident of Staten Island, N.Y. and formerly of the 1500 block of Wilson Road, died Nov. 19, 1997.
A recently retired psychologist with the state of New York, Dr. Simpson was a professor at the following academic institutions: Cheney State College, Longwood College, St. Paul's College and New York University.
Dr. Simpson was born in Norfolk and was a former member of First Baptist Church, Berkley.
Survivors include four brothers, Dr. Melvin R. Simpson of Hampton, Paul D. Simpson Sr. of Temple Hills, Md., Arnett L. Simpson of Cleveland, Ohio, and Bruce Simpson of Staten Island, N.Y.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Interment will follow in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Friends may join the family at 12:30 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
