IRENE K. HINKLE

Irene K. Hinkle, 84, died Thursday, Nov. 20, 1997.

A native of Bluefield, W.Va., she was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Portsmouth and retired as a salesperson for Zayres Department Store, Portsmouth. Mrs. Hinkle was the widow of Marvin C. Hinkle Sr.

She is survived by her son, Marvin C. Hinkle Jr., and his wife, Sandy, of Suffolk; a granddaughter, Angela L. Hinkle of Virginia Beach; a brother, Haynes L. Belcher, and his wife, Ellen, of Bluefield; and five nieces. She was predeceased by her parents, Ella J. Belcher and William L. Belcher; a sister, Mary Ruth Porterfield; a brother, Roy W. Belcher; and a half-brother, Clyde Belcher.

Burial will be private in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Bluefield. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Association. Loving Funeral Home, Churchland, is handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
