Edward Blake Hancock, 68, died Nov. 19, 1997, at his residence.
He was born in Newport News and was the son of the late Herman C. Hancock and Eddie V. Felton Hancock. Mr. Hancock was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served in the Korean War and was retired from the civil service.
He is survived by his wife, Dolena S. Hancock; a daughter, Karen Blake Bryant of Virginia Beach; a son, Edward John Hancock of Virginia Beach; three sisters, Dorothy King of Suffolk and Margaret Kennedy and Betty Beard, both of Portsmouth; and a grandson, Michael T. Martin of Virginia Beach.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Twiford Colonial Chapel, Chesapeake, by the Rev. Johnny McDonald. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
