Susie Mae Daniel, 79, of the 3000 block of Fireside Road, died Nov. 18, 1997, in Norfolk General Hospital.
Born in Suffolk, she was the manager of Saint Mary's Soup Kitchen, Norfolk, for five years. She was a member of Holy Temple Universal Christian Church, Berkley, where she was president of the Usher Board, church secretary, trustee, and member of the Missionary Circle. Mrs. Daniel was also a member of the East Bound Association, One Hundred Women in White and Silver Strands Senior Citizens Club. She was the widow of Roosevelt Daniel.
Survivors include a daughter, Terry Daniel of Chesapeake; two brothers, James Griggs of Portsmouth and Willie Lee Brown of Washington, D.C.; and two grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Holy Temple Universal Christian Church, Berkley, Norfolk, by Elder Alvin Owens. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Monday. Fitchett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
