MARIE S. BRECKENRIDGE

Marie Antoinette Stewart Breckenridge, 72, formerly of the 700 block of Pennsylvania Ave., slipped quietly and peacefully into eternal sleep Nov. 20, 1997, in Lynn Shores Manor Nursing Home. She was a native of Norfolk and the daughter of Harrison and Picola Fitzhuge Stewart. She was the widow of Lonnis L. Breckenridge Sr., and as a homemaker she provided a wholesome family environment for her husband and six children. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Lamberts Point.

She will be sorely missed by her daughters, Lana M. Breckenridge and Leahray D. Ruth; four sons, Lonnis L. Breckenridge Jr., Lance Adane Breckenridge, Lamarr C. Breckenridge and Loliest D. Breckenridge. She will also be missed by 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Tuesday at First Baptist Church, Lamberts Point, 38th St. at Bluestone Ave., by the Rev. Anthony C. Paige. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home at 7 p.m. Monday and at other times at 5529 Bayberry Dr., Norfolk.
