Cheryl D. McManes, 38, of the 700 block of Hancock Ave., died Nov. 20, 1997, in Maryview Medical Center.
A native of Portsmouth, she was an assistant dietary manager at Brent-Lox Hall Nursing Center for eight years. She was a member of New First Baptist Church Taylorsville, Portsmouth.
Survivors include a daughter, Syreeta S. McManes; two sons, Tramell K. McManes and Jason T. McManes; her mother, Pattie M. McManes; a sister, Rachel D. McManes; two brothers, Clarence M. McManes and Reginald L. McManes; and her maternal grandmother, Idonia Small, all of Portsmouth; an aunt; seven uncles; two nephews; and a host of cousins, in-laws and friends, including a special friend, James Ellis of Portsmouth.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday in New First Baptist Church Taylorsville by the Rev. T.M. Steele. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery.
