ELIZABETH J. TURNER

Elizabeth J. Turner, of the 1900 block of Beechwood Road, died Nov. 23, 1997, in her home.

Born in Wilson, N.C., she was the widow of Davis Turner. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, Chesapeake, and its usher board and Chesapeake Forward. Mrs. Turner was employed by the Chesapeake Public School System for 15 years.

Survivors include three daughters, the Rev. Ida Grice, Pearlin Brown, Ardelia B. Kidd, all of Chesapeake; six sons, Samuel Turner, Davis Turner, Alfred Turner, Christopher Turner, all of Chesapeake, Errol Turner of St. Petersburg, Fla., Jesse Turner of Los Angeles, Calif.; a brother, Samuel James of Beaumont, Texas; 23 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; four daughters-in-law, Blanche Turner of Norfolk, Emma and Julie Turner of Chesapeake and Phylis Turner of St. Petersburg; and three sons-in-law, Herbert Grice, Elton Brown and devoted son-in-law, Willie L. Kidd Jr., all of Chesapeake.

A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. today at 1920 Milliville Road, Chesapeake. Rogers Funeral Home is handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
