EDWIN M. BURKE

Edwin Milo Burke, 45, of the 200 block of Phillips Ave., died at 8:30 a.m. onNov. 21, 1997, in his residence.

He was a native of Currituck County, N.C., and a former resident of Woodville, N.C. He was a member of the Poole's Grove Missionary Baptist Church since he was 8 years old. He was a loan officer at the Life Savings Bank, Norfolk, for the past 11 years.

Survivors include his father, Clarence Burke Jr. and mother, Emma Frances Seymore Burke, both of Hertford; a sister, Carol Boney and husband, Dwight, of Hamilton, N.J.; five brothers, Travis Burke and Cedric Burke, both of Hertford, N.C., Damion Burke and wife, Penny, of Grandy, N.C., Paul Burke and wife, Julia, of Chesapeake, and Don Burke and wife, Katrina, of Herndon, Va.; nine nieces, Yvette, Natasha, Talesha, Tiffany, and Shayla Burke, Christy, Jamie, and Katie Farr and Keshia Wilkins; five nephews, Paul Jr., Derrick, Cedric Jr. and Darren Burke and Dwight Boney Jr.; four great-nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Poole's Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Hertford, by the Rev. J.L. Wills. Entombment will be at the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Elizabeth City. Viewing will be at Corprew Funeral Home, Portsmouth, from 5 to 7 p.m. today and at Stallings Funeral Home, Elizabeth City, from 8 to 10 p.m. today. The family will be at the home of his parents, Clarence and Mrs. Emma S. Burke in Woodville, N.C. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
