RAYMOND M. WILSON JR.

Raymond M. Wilson Jr., 76, died Saturday, Nov. 23, 1997, in a local hospital.

Mr. Wilson was born in Baltimore, Md., and was the widower of Florence Z. Wilson, his wife of 51 years. She died in July 1997. He was a retired U.S. Navy warrant officer 4 with 30 years of service and was a veteran of World War II. He was a past president of Tidewater Lost Chords Club and the International Association of Laryngectomees.

He is survived by two daughters, Carol R. Smith and her husband, Kenyon H. Smith Jr. of Norfolk, Jeanne Sundt and her friend, Sam Brown of Virginia Beach; a son, Raymond K. Wilson Sr. and his wife, Phyliss Wilson of San Diego, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Lisa McNeal and her husband Garrett McNeal, Eric Sundt, Dawn Smith, Raymond K. Wilson Jr., Brian Wilson, Michael Wilson, Leigh Wilson; and a great-grandchild, Kody McNeal.

The funeral and burial will be private. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel is in charge of arrangements. The family suggests memorials to The Lost Chords Club, 2730 Ellsmere Ave., Norfolk, VA 23509. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
