JASPER T. DAVIS

Mr. Jasper T. Davis, 85, of the 2400 block of E. Virginia Beach Blvd., died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 1997, in a local hospital.

Mr. Davis was born in North Carolina and was a housing finance specialist and consultant. He had more than 40 years of experience in public housing, real estate and real estate appraisal. He also worked with low and moderate income housing for non-profit sponsors. He built and completed 125 project units in Virginia Beach (Bayside Arms Apartments), Norfolk (COGIC Memorial Home for Elderly) and other states as well.

He is survived by his wife, Shelia Davis; a son, Christopher Davis; a sister, Mrs. Magalene D. White of Durham, N.C.; two brothers, William Davis of Durham, John Davis of Greensboro, N.C.; and a host of relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Wednesday in Christ Cathedral Church of God in Christ, 300 W. 31st St., Norfolk, by Elder Toney L. McNair Sr. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Metropolitan Funeral Service, Norfolk, is in charge. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Family and friends and assemble at 11 a.m. Wednesday at 325 Providence Road, Chesapeake, for the funeral procession to the Church. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
