Norcom's Shannon

sign letter to

attend Hampton

I.C. Norcom's Toni Rae Shannon has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Hampton University.

Shannon, a 6-0 forward, signed during the early period, which ended Nov. 19. She averaged 21 points, 5 assists and 18 rebounds per game last season for the Greyhounds, who had a 7-11 record.

She also was an All-Eastern District performer last year.

Buses available for ODU

women's trip to Richmond

The Old Dominion Athletic Department will offer bus transportation for fans wishing to attend the Central Fidelity women's basketball tournament in Robins Center in Richmond Dec. 6-7. ODU will play Richmond at noon on Dec. 6 while Louisiana Tech and Iowa will meet at 2:30 p.m. The winners play Sunday at 6:30 p.m., following the 4 p.m. consolation game.

Packages include daily bus transportation from the Old Dominion Field House for $10 per person. Tickets are $12. Reservations must be made no later than Dec. 4 by calling the athletic ticket office at 683-4444. Transportation is contingent on a minimum of 30 paid riders. ILLUSTRATION: Toni Rae Shannon
