Mary Bridgers of 3053 Parkside Drive died Nov. 20, 1997, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
She was born Nov. 25, 1912, the daughter of the late Isaac and Minnie Braswell Bridgers. She was a native of Tarboro, in Edgecombe County, N.C.
Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy L. Hill of Chesapeake; an adopted daughter, Mary Hussey of Tarboro, N.C.; a sister, Elizabeth Eason of Tarboro, N.C.; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be at noon Saturday in the Salvation Army Church, Virginia Beach Blvd. and Raby Road, by Major Dan Delaney. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Metropolitan Funeral Home. The family will assemble at 3053 Parkside Drive at 11 a.m. Saturday for the procession. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
