Nedith Bell Bady Goodrich, 82, formerly of Portsmouth, died Nov. 21, 1997, at a Pensacola, Fla., hospital.
A native of Alabama, she was the widow of John Waverly Goodrich Jr.
Mrs. Goodrich is survived by her son, John W. Goodrich III of Houston, Texas; stepmother, Violet Goodrich of Wakefield; brothers-in-law, Edward Carlton Goodrich of Suffolk, Herbert Goodrich of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; sisters-in-law, Margaret G. Doss of Newsoms, Charlotte G. Carden of Grandy, N.C., Mary Agnes Goodrich, Mabel Johnson, both of Wakefield; a half-brother-in-law, Ronnie Goodrich of Wakefield; a stepsister, Ester Wood of Holland; stepbrothers, Robert Butler of Clearwater, Fla., Thomas Butler of Chesapeake, Fred Butler of Waverly; and a granddaughter.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, by the Rev. C. Randy Duncan. Burial will be in Rocky Hock Church Cemetery.
