Forrest H. ``Jack'' Potts, 76, of the 1400 block of Kay Ave. died Nov. 24, 1997.
Born in North Carolina, he was a retired Chesapeake city building inspector and also a self-employed sub-contractor. Mr. Potts was a Navy veteran who served in World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Potts; two sons, Danny A. Bass and wife, Brenda, of Chesapeake and Billy Potts of Winston-Salem, N.C.; two grandchildren, Mary Ann and husband, George E. Keen, and Linda Marie Bass, all of Chesapeake.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Beaver Hill Cemetery, Edenton, N.C. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at 1407 Kay Ave. Mr. Potts will be taken to Evans Funeral Home, Edenton, N.C., for viewing where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
