Florence Patricia Cartier, 62, died Nov. 24, 1997, in Maryview Medical Center.
A native of Portsmouth, Miss Cartier was the daughter of the late Joseph and Eula Cartier. She was a member of the Portsmouth Assembly of God and the Sunshine Club of Temple Baptist Church.
She is survived by her brother, Ed Cartier and his wife, Ruth of Chesapeake; two nieces, Wilhelmina Johnson and Betty Best, both of Portsmouth; and three nephews, Edward Cartier of Mississippi, John Cartier and Allan Cartier, both of Chesapeake.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. today in the Portsmouth Assembly of God by Dr. Homer Peterson. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the residence, 2044 Maywood St., Chesapeake. Altmeyer Funeral Home, Virginia Beach, is handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
