Maybin Leigh Bennett Barnes, 95, died Nov. 26, 1997, in East Pavilion.
Mrs. Barnes, a native of Brunswick County, was affectionately known as ``Creep'' or ``MayMay''. She was a homemaker and lover of little children. She was the widow of Charles Leonard Barnes Sr. and was predeceased by her son, Charles L. ``Dickie'' Barnes Jr.
She is survived by a brother, W.J. ``Jack'' Bennett and his wife, Grace, of Nashville, Ark.; a sister-in-law, Amber Bennett of South Hill; and numerous nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Mary Lee Warren.
A graveside funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Bennett Family Cemetery, Brunswick County, with Dean Warren officiating. The family will receive friends at 7 p.m. Friday in Wright Funeral Home. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
