SUDIE GALLOP

Sudie Gallop of the 100 block of Irving St. died Nov. 24, 1997.

Born in Edgecomb County, N.C., she was the widow of James W. Gallop Sr. Mrs. Gallop was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, the church usher board and the United Order of Tents Silver Leafe No. 354. She was retired from Sentara Bayside Hospital.

Survivors include a daughter, Shirley A. Elliott of Norfolk; two sons, Steven L. Gallop of Norfolk, Clarence Clark of New York; a sister, Ada Purnell of Norfolk; a brother, William Hines of Philadelphia, Pa.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Friday in Ebenezer Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. C.K. Jones. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at 6417 Stoney Point, South Norfolk. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements. KEYWORDS: DEATH OBITUARY
