In 1991 DLA (then known as the Scholarly Communications
Project) began providing
online access to local, regional, and international newspapers. In 1997 the newspapers went commercial with their online news, but DLA continues to provide access to its news archive and links to the newspapers' sites. Please be aware that while DLA provdes access at no charge, the other news archives may charge a fee for access to their news archives.
DLA also provides transcripts of television news reports for WDBJ7, 1995-2008. WDBJ7 is a regional CBS affiliate in Roanoke, Virginia.
