LARGE ANIMAL CLINICAL SCIENCES. Clinical Instructor.

Responsibilities: Instructional duties will include clinical instruction of senior students and residents in large-animal medicine and related disciplines. Service will include management of patients and consultation with clients and referring veterinarians in Large Animal Medicine and Equine Field Service. Limited time will be provided for creative activity and/or professional development. Qualifications include the DVM or equivalent degree. Diplomate status in the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine is preferred. Candidates eligible for certification examination by this specialty college will be considered. Rank will be at the level of clinical instructor. Salary and starting date are negotiable. CENTER FOR TRANSPORTATION RESEARCH. Software Developer/Systems Administrator.

The successful candidate will work both independently and in a team environment to develop solutions for new and complex computing and programming problems for emerging transportation technologies, as well as be responsible for the overall administration of the center's SUN UNIX/PC/Mac environment. Experience with Mac, PC, and UNIX operating environments, UNIX workstation support and TCP/IP networks; C/C++; ARC/INFO(GIS); NEXPERT-OBJECT; ORACLE; open-interface elements (GUI Package); 2-D, 3-D computer graphics (Silicon Graphics GL); simulation and simulation languages; software engineering, design and integration; numerical techniques for engineering problems; html or comparable. Effective oral and written communication skills, the ability to take initiative and to complete a project within the allotted time frame, and a willingness to learn and experiment. BS in information systems, computer science, or related field, or equivalent experience. With preference given for experience in transportation or related discipline, experience or knowledge of intelligent transportation systems. Graduate degree. Three or more years experience. CENTER FOR TRANSPORTATION RESEARCH. Information/Education Coordinator.

The successful candidate will write and edit brochures and other promotional material, a quarterly newsletter and annual report, edit technical documents, papers, proposals, and reports, as well as act as liaison with local and national media. Other duties include continuing-education and technology-transfer activities, such as developing workshops and short courses, promoting the center's scholarship programs, developing and maintaining the center's publication service, and planning and promoting regional and national conferences. Need a degree in communications, journalism, English or equivalent related training and experience; strong writing and technical skills; strong organizational, interpersonal and communications skills; ability to understand and communicate technical information to a variety of audiences. With preference given for experience working in university research environment or similar research environment, experience in and/or knowledge of the transportation field. Other responsibilities include overseeing graduate students' research and assisting in the development of proposals and related reports. Advanced degree in transportation, civil, mechanical, electrical, industrial and systems engineering, or related field. Experience conducting advanced research in transportation or related area. With preference given for experience conducting advanced research in the area of Intelligent Transportation Systems. Demonstrated experience developing successful proposals and managing projects.
