The observance of the founding of Virginia Tech will be held on Friday, April 3, 1998. The Founders Day convocation will begin at 3:15 p.m. Faculty members are encouraged to excuse student participants from classes after 2 p.m., and excuse those who would like to attend at 3 p.m.
I invite each of you to participate in the celebration of the university's 126th anniversary, either as a member of the academic processional or as a member of the audience. Such participation makes Founders Day a true celebration of academic excellence at Virginia Tech.
