*****************************************************************
German nouns are always capitalized. In transcribing Brigitte K.
Sutherly's letter, published April 19, ``Kind'' and ``Kinder'' were
incorrectly rendered as ``kind'' and ``kinder.'' Mrs. Sutherly, who
teaches German, was embarrassed by that. So were we.
Correction published Saturday, April 20, 1996 on page A12 of THE
VIRGINIAN-PILOT.
