Lectureship in Ancient History
Applications are invited for a Lectureship in the Department of Classics from 1 October 1994.
Candidates' fields of interest may be in any aspect of Greek or Roman History. Ability to teach Greek is essential.
Salary scale 13,601 (UK Pounds) to 18,855 pa (Grade A) plus USS benefits.

Closing date for applications is Monday, 16 May 1994.
Applicants may name two or more referees. Shortlisting will take place on Monday 23 May, and applicants are recommended to send a copy of their applications, together with these particulars to their referees in good time so that they will be ready to receive reference requests from the University. Interviews will take place on Thursday 9 June. Candidates will be invited to present a short paper (c 30 mins) on any aspect of their research to a seminar consisting of staff and some postgraduate and undergraduate students on the same morning.
