UNIVERSITY OF NEW ENGLANDPROFESSOR OF CLASSICS AND ANCIENT HISTORY
Applications are invited for the Chair of Classics and Ancient History, vacant since the appointment of Professor T.R. Bryce as Deputy Vice Chancellor of Lincoln University, New Zealand.
Applicants should have appropriate qualifications in Greek and Latin, with teaching experience and research interests in the fields of Greek and/or Latin language and literature, or Ancient History.
The Department offers courses to postgraduate level in Greek, Latin, Ancient History, and Myth and Ancient Literature for both internal and external (correspondence) students.
The appointee will become Head of Department for a period of five years in the first instance.
