In appreciation of the dedicated years of labor in the organization and development of the American Rhododendron Society, in particular from the time of its establishment to the time of its growth into a national organization;
In recognition of the deep sense of responsibility that brought him to work tirelessly on all shows until illness restricted him;
In gratitude for the willingness to take time out of his private life whenever help was needed, serving on the first Board of Directors, giving yeoman's service in the first gardens and shows, predating even the establishment of the Rhododendron Test Garden, serving the Society both with head and hand;
This Chapter is pleased to give this Charter and Life Member its highest honor and recognition to:
