Eugene, Oregon, Chosen for 1977 Annual Meeting

The Eugene Chapter will be the host for the May 12 through May 15 Annual Meeting in 1977.

The program will explore what is new in rhododendrons from New Guinea through California and the Northwest to azaleas in the eastern United States. That treasure land of plants, the Siskiyou's, home of Kalmiopsis leachiana , will have a spot on the program. In addition to the rhododendrons in these mountains, there are many rare and strange ericaceous plants growing there, and other plants interesting as companions to rhododendrons.

Accommodations for the meeting at Rodeway Inn include tennis courts, a pool, putting green and airport courtesy car.

Garden tours are planned for Hendricks Park, the garden of Dr. Carl Phetteplace on the McKenzie River and Greer Gardens.

The Fifth Annual Breeder's Roundtable is scheduled for Sunday, May 15.
