JARS v37n3 - Third Western Regionals Conference

Third Western Regionals Conference
Nov. 4, 5, 6, 1983
Monterey Bay, California
Everett E. Farwell, Jr., Woodside, CA

You are cordially invited to attend THE THIRD WESTERN REGIONAL CONFERENCE. Make your plans now to join the move to Monterey Bay as hundreds of “Rhodo-censors" join together for the American Rhododendron Society's most valuable educational experience of the year in one of the most relaxed and scenic California surroundings. Holiday Inn, Monterey is located right on the beach, just 10 minutes from the Monterey Airport served by major airlines with limousine service available from the airport.

The Monterey Peninsula offers so much to see and do; spectacular scenery, nearby Pebble Beach, the famous 17 mile drive, Carmel, Pacific Grove, (butterflies) Point Lobos, "Steinbeck's Cannery Row", Watch the Whales go by for their Annual Southern Conference.

For a Whale of a time we are planning an informal fun loving, audience participation, down to earth open forum approach to the other ten months of the year.

We won't entirely ignore our blooming "rhodies," we just want to appreciate them more for what they are, when they aren't. Our seminar approach will afford something for the professional amateur as well as the amateur professional. Send in your pet peeve by August first. Let us know what you have encountered that we might find interesting to submit to our question and answer session. We will be full of surprises, so plan now for your fall vacation in Monterey.

Our committee is hard at it, we already have worked over our imaginations for a new approach and, "By George, I believe we've GOT IT."

You will receive an advance profile just as soon as we get all of our confirmations from our participating specialists. When you receive this I expect you will be looking forward to attending.
