Flowers tubular funnel-shaped, 1¾" across x 1¼" long, with ± 13 wavy lobes (± 2 normal stamens), deep purplish pink 54B (Spinel Red), with red spotting in central dorsal lobe sector. Calyx ¼", green. Inflorescence 1-2-flowered. Leaves held well through winter, 1¼ -1⅝" x ⅞ - 1", near broadly elliptic, mucronate, cuneate, glossy, slightly bullate, ciliate, near moderate olive green 146A, both surfaces moderately setose (colorless to tan) (hairs best seen with lens). Flowers openly funnel-shaped, 2" across x 1½" long, with 5 + 5 wavy to frilled lobes (± 6 stamens), white, with pale yellow throat and slight spotting in central dorsal lobe sector. Calyx ¼", white. Inflorescence 1-2-flowered. Floriferous. Leaves held well through winter, ⅞ - 1½" x ⅝ - 1", elliptic to broadly elliptic, flat, mucronate, cuneate, glossy, ciliate, near moderate yellow green 146A, both surfaces rarely to moderately setose (colorless to tan) (hairs best seen with lens). Plant rounded, branching well, 18" tall x 22" wide in 6 years. Blooms in mid-May. Hardy to at least 0°F.
