Since you first joined California Chapter in 1976, you became one of its most enthusiastic leaders. Your generosity with Vireya plants and cuttings brought these rhododendrons to many grateful members. In just a few short years you took on the responsibilities of vice president, becoming president in 1983 and 84. You have served the chapter in many other capacities, but your consideration for membership needs, both local and national, remains unmatched. The chapter is pleased to honor you with its highest award, the Bronze Medal, June 21, 1990.
