GREATER PHILADELPHIA CHAPTER
Marshall "Bud" Gressman and Marilyn Gressman
The Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society presents this Bronze Medal to Marshall "Bud" Gressman and Marilyn Gressman in recognition of their tireless efforts in furthering the interests and benefits of the Chapter. Most notably, you have chaired the Chapter's Annual Truss Show, continuing its success as a major exhibit of rhododendrons and azaleas, and contributing to the competitiveness of the event. Bud has served as vice president of the Chapter, and both Bud and Marilyn have been important participants in the Chapter's informal events, known as board meetings. Through activities in neighboring chapters, you have increased communication among us, and contributed to the fraternization of rhodoholics. Bud and Marilyn, we salute you and offer our congratulations this seventeenth day of April 1993.
Robert M. Wilkinson and Judi Meade
The Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society presents this Bronze Medal to Robert M. Wilkinson and Judi Meade in recognition of their support of the Chapter over many years through contribution of their energy, talents and time. Bob has served as chair of the Chapter's highly successful plant sale, and the team of Bob and Judi has brought to us an ever-increasing variety of high quality rhododendrons and azaleas; thereby providing us with interesting plants, an enjoyable event, and an enriched treasury. Judi serves as the Chapter's treasurer, and both Bob and Judi have been consistent and valuable participants on the Chapter's Board. Their efforts provided many of the plants used in the Chapter's notable exhibit on the main floor of the 1993 Philadelphia Flower Show. Bob and Judi, we salute you and offer our congratulations this seventeenth day of April 1993.
MIDDLE ATLANTIC CHAPTER
George Keen McLellan
The Middle Atlantic Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society presents to George Keen McLellan this Bronze Medal Award in recognition of his service to the Chapter when as a fairly new member he was put in charge of transportation for the 1988 national convention and performed his duties admirably. His knowledge of rhododendrons, plants and gardens which he has put to use in growing plants and making a beautiful garden which has been toured by the Chapter, individuals, and other gardening groups. His service as director and most recently as Chapter president in which he gave greatly of his time, thought and effort with a cheerful willingness to promote rhododendrons, azaleas, the Chapter and the Society. The Chapter is proud to present this award and its grateful thanks. November 6, 1993.
NORTH KITSAP CHAPTER
Tad and Fujiko Sakuma
The North Kitsap Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society is pleased to present the Bronze Medal Award to Tad and Fujiko Sakuma for over 25 years of dedicated service. Everyone has something to treasure. We of the North Kitsap Chapter are fortunate to have two treasures: you, Tad and Fujiko Sakuma. Since you helped found our Chapter more than 25 years ago, you have been an integral part of all our endeavors, providing assistance in so many ways. You, Fujiko, served for many years as our treasurer, as our sunshine chairperson, as executive in charge of the commissary department, as cashier at our plant auctions, and as publicity chair. You, Tad, have served on our Board of Directors, and are always available to lend a helping hand. You have worked quietly, efficiently, cheerfully, and reliably whenever you are needed without being asked - and we appreciate it. We are pleased to present you with his Bronze Medal - our Chapter's highest award - with gratitude for your decades of service to our Chapter, and we are honored to call you our friends. Presented this twenty-seventh day of May 1993.
OLYMPIA CHAPTER
Bill Melton
The Olympia Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society is pleased to present the Bronze Medal to Bill Melton in appreciation of his many contributions to the Chapter. Bill served as vice-president, president, on the Board of Directors and several times as chairman of the Chapter show. He willingly supports Chapter activities and shares his knowledge of rhododendron hybridizing and propagation through programs and demonstrations. Bill is most deserving of the Chapter's highest award. October 20, 1993.
