It is with pleasure and appreciation that our chapter is awarding this medal to you, Dolly, for the years of dedication and service that you have given us. Your tenure as secretary, and all you do behind the scenes, coupled with your congeniality and "can do" attitude, have helped the chapter to grow into what it is today. We are fortunate to have you as a member.
MONTEREY BAY CHAPTER
Tom Kelley
The Monterey Bay Chapter of the American Rhododendron Society is honored to present the Bronze Medal Award to Tom Kelly for his many outstanding contributions to our chapter. Tom took over the leadership role as president for three years. He contributed to the monthly newsletters with fascinating articles about different kinds of plants from all over the world. Tom was instrumental in creating greater public awareness of our chapter by expanding our annual show and sale. This helped to put us on a more substantial financial footing. His contact with local nurseries helped to bridge the gap between the rhododendron growers in our community and our chapter. He was willing to do anything and everything. For all of these accomplishments and more, this chapter is proud to present the Bronze Medal Award.
TAPPAN ZEE CHAPTER
Jean Lange
The Tappan Zee Chapter has presented Jean Lange the Bronze Medal for exceptional dedication and service during her tenure as president. Jean brought up membership, restored the treasury to a healthy status and stimulated the membership to attend meetings even though she had to fly from Tucson, Arizona, and St. Croix to run the meetings. The citation she received is from "A Grateful Chapter."
