JARS v56n3 - Visual Arts Competition in Atlanta
Visual Arts Competition in Atlanta
Walter Ligon, M.D.
Chair, Visual Arts Competition
Marietta, Georgia
The Visual Arts Competition of the Atlanta 2002 Convention of ARS-ASA drew almost 100 entries. Category 2 (Blossoms) had the most entries and Category 3 (Macro-Close Ups) had the lesser number with only three. My hope is that more members get interested in macro photography. Original paintings had six entries. There was a high level of quality in the competition making decisions on winners difficult. Technical merit as well as overall visual impact were the deciding factors in the award of winning status.
