CLASS 2 -Dexter hybrids, white to blush tints. | First place to Mr. Nathaniel E. Hess with a very large truss of H47-X. This is a blush color with a small red throat mark. Flowers almost 5 inches across. |
Second place to Mr. Donald Hardgrove with H54-4, a large flowered white. | |
Third place to Mr. Donald Hardgrove with Parker No. 1. | |
CLASS 3 -Dexter hybrids, pink to deep pink. | First place to Mrs. Schlaikjer with a bright pink identified as H.S.4. |
Second place to Mr. Donald Hardgrove with H47-2. | |
Third place to Mr. Nathaniel E. Hess with H47-9. | |
CLASS 4 -Dexter hybrids, cream to apricot. | No awards were made for first and third place. |
Second place to Mr. Donald Hardgrove with 'C.O.D.' | |
CLASS 5 -Fortunei hybrids. | First place to Mr. Donald Hardgrove for a truss of fortunei x 'Azma'. |

CLASS 6 -Decorum hybrids. | First place to Mr. Donald Hardgrove with a truss of H46-6. A well rounded truss of rose flowers fading to blush toward the center. With a large conspicuous maroon blotch. |
No awards were made for second and third place. | |
CLASS 7 -Griffithianum hybrids. | First and second places went to 'Cynthia' and 'Mother of Pearl' respectively. Both trusses exhibited by Mr. Donald Hardgrove. |

CLASS 8 -Neriiflorum series hybrids. | No awards were made for first and third places. |
Second place was taken by a truss of 'Atrosanguineum' x floccigerum exhibited by Mr. Hardgrove. | |
CLASS 9 -Ponticum series hybrids. | 'Blue Peter' exhibited by Mr. Hess took first place |
and another truss of the same variety exhibited by Mr. Hardgrove was rated second . | |
Third place went to Mr. Sumner for a truss labeled as Caroline Hunnewell which was found to be erroneous. | |
CLASS 10 -Campylocarpum hybrids. | A seedling of campylocarpum x fortunei exhibited by Mr. Hardgrove took the blue ribbon. This closely resembled 'Letty Edwards' but with a taller truss. |
Second place went to another of Mr. Hardgrove's crosses, this one fortunei x ( griersonianum x campylocarpum ). | |
No award was made for third place. | |
CLASS 11 -Thomsonii series hybrids, exclusive of campylocarpum. This class was well represented and excited a great deal of interest. | First place was unanimously awarded to a new seedling exhibited by Mr. Hardgrove named tentatively "Crimson Star." This variety was acclaimed by Dr. Bowers as being as good as any of the award reds in England. |

CLASS 12 -Griersonianum hybrids. | First and third place awards were withheld by the judges. |
Second place was awarded to a clear bright red form of the variable cross of 'Atrosanguineum' x griersonianum exhibited by Mr. Hardgrove. | |
CLASS 13 -Single spray of an evergreen Azalea. This class was swept by the Gable Azalea's. | First Place was awarded to 'Gable's Flame' exhibited by Mr. Hardgrove. |

Third place to 'James Gable' exhibited by Mr. Hardgrove. | |
CLASS 14 -Single spray of a deciduous Azalea. | First place went to Mrs. Schlaikjer for a bright deep yellow mollis seedling. |
Second place went to Mrs. Schlaikjer for another mollis seedling, salmon with a gold blotch. | |
Third place was awarded to Mr. Nathaniel E. Hess for a spray of 'Directeur Moerlands'. | |
CLASS 15 -Any hybrid not included in previous classes. | First place went to a lacteum hybrid exhibited by Mr. Hardgrove. |
Second place for a truss of 'Broughtonii Aureum'. | |
No award for third place. | |
CLASS 16 -New seedling raised by the exhibitor. | First prize was awarded to a really outstanding new hybrid. The truss was particularly well formed and would undoubtedly been a serious contender in CLASS 17 if all the flowers had been open, there being 3 unopened buds in the truss. The flowers were over 4 inches across, and the most notable feature was the smoothness of the color, a bright coral pink. This seedling identified so far as H54-4 was exhibited by Mr. Hardgrove. |
