Note about PDFs

Some of our oldest PDFs (ETDs, particularly) were created in very early versions of Acrobat. Occasionally the fonts will appear garbled. If this occurs, please notify us so that we can attempt to redistill the PDF. As a quick solution, try viewing the PDF in another application. We have had cases where a PDF that had garbled fonts in Acrobat Reader was rendered normally in Preview (Mac) and/or PDF-Xchange Viewer (Windows).
