Ejournal Checking Tool
This script will check for a number of common quality control issues, such as improperly marked up references. It also checks for pages that still use javascript (which we no longer like), and pages that don't use server side includes (which we now like instead of javascript).

Linbot
Linbot is an automatic link checker that goes through our web pages and looks for broken links and images. The process of using Linbot to fix broken links is described in the section of the handbook on link checking.

Applications

BBedit
BBedit is the premiere html editor for the Macintosh. It has numerous features to aid and guide web authors.

Fetch
Fetch is an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) client for the Macintosh used to transfer non-HTML files to the server and to rename files and directories on the server.

WS FTP
WS FTP an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) client for Windows. Like Fetch, it is used to transfer files to the server and to rename files and directories on the server.

Photoshop
Photoshop is a powerful tool for image creation, conversion, and editing.

Acrobat

Used to create PDF files, viewable versions of print documents.

Various web browsers
Includes information on the differences between operating systems, and information on the browsers Netscape, Internet Explorer, and Icab.
