BORN ON JUNE. 13, 1952 IN SPAIN, TO JOSE ACEBAL-LIANO AND ANGELINA ACEBAL. SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER FATHER, AND TWO BROTHERS, MICHAEL AND JOSEPH ACEBAL. SURVIVING ARE THREE SONS, JOHN-MICHAEL CHRISTIAN KNOWLES, HARRISONBURG, VA, DYLAN DANIEL AND RYAN ASHLEY KNOWLES; ONE DAUGHTER, VANESSA ESTRELLA KNOWLES; HER MOTHER, ANGELINA ACEBAL; A BROTHER, PETER ACEBAL, ALL OF CHRISTIANSBURG; TWO NIECES, JEANINE AND ELAINA ACEBAL, NEW YORK. FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD SATURDAY, MARCH 23, 1996 AT I I A.M. AT ST. PAUL'S UNITED METHODIST CHURCH WITH FATHER HARRY B. SCOTT, III OFFICIATING. THERE WILL BE NO INTERMENT FOLLOWING THE SERVICES DUE TO HER WISHES TO BE CREMATED. THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS FRIDAY FROM 6:30 TO 9 PM AT MCCOY FUNERAL HOME, BLACKSBURG. BROWN, GEOFFREY J., 38, OF LYNCHBURG, DIED WEDNESDAY, MARCH 20, 1996 AT HIS RESIDENCE. BORN IN HENRY CO. JULY 16, 1957, HE WAS A SON OF MELVIN WILSON BROWN AND JUANITA LUCAS BROWN OF FIELDALE. GEOFF WAS ASSOCIATED WITH THE HENRY CO. SHERIFF'S DEPT. AND THE VA. STATE POLICE. IN 1980, MR. BROWN BECAME THE CRIME SCENE TECHNICIAN FOR THE LYNCHBURG POLICE DEPT. AND WAS AN INSTRUCTOR FOR THE MAJOR CRIME LABS IN VIRGINIA. HE ALSO ASSISTED CRIME LABS THROUGHOUT VIRGINIA ON MAJOR HOMICIDE CASES. MORE RECENTLY, HE WAS THE PHOTO LAB MANAGER FOR WINN DIXIE. GEOFF WAS A MEMBER OF FLAT CREEK BAPTIST CHURCH. IN ADDITION TO HIS PARENTS, SURVIVORS INCLUDE HIS WIFE, CINDY REYNOLDS BROWN; AND A SON, CHRISTOPHER WILSON BROWN OF LYNCHBURG; THREE BROTHERS, RONALD AND WIFE, KATHRYN BROWN OF WAYNESBORO, JERRY L. BROWN OF FIELDALE; MATERNAL GRANDMOTHER, MRS. WEAVER LUCAS OF ROANOKE; TWO BROTHERS-IN-LAW, GARY AND WIFE JANET REYNOLDS, ARNOLD AND WIFE LORI REYNOLDS, ALL OF LYNCHBURG; TWO NEPHEWS, JUSTIN BROWN OF WAYNESBORO, TRAVIS BROWN OF MARTINSVILLE; AND ONE NIECE, JENNIFER BROWN OF WAYNESBORO.
