The Code of Virginia requires the Department of Employee Relations Counselors (DERC) to provide grievance-procedure training for supervisory personnel throughout the state. This training is provided at no cost to Virginia Tech or the participant.

To register for one of the scheduled classes listed below, call Doris Harris Price at (804) 786-7994. Because the class size is limited and demand is greater than the availability, agencies will be charged a $20 late "no show" fee. To avoid this fee, registration must be cancelled by the Thursday before the scheduled training.

The Department of Employee Relations Counselors also conducts grievance training at locations outside the Richmond area at the request of an agency. For more information call Bob Burke at (804) 786-7994.
