Broadcast journalist. Expertise and the ability to teach in electronic news gathering, broadcast writing, and one or more of the following: video production, audience research and measurement, new technologies, media programming, and international communication. Evidence of a strong scholarly or creative research program expected. Coordination of a small, student- level broadcast facility. Professional television experience preferred. FORESTRY DEPARTMENT. Tenure- track faculty position (nine- or 12- month position).

The position involves the traditional land- grant institution academic responsibilities of teaching, research, and service. The successful applicant will be expected to conduct research in the human dimensions of natural-resource management; advise undergraduate students; teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the human dimensions of natural-resource management and in natural-resource recreation; recruit and supervise graduate students; and participate in faculty governance. Qualified applicants should have a Ph.D., strong disciplinary skills in a noneco-nomics discipline relevant to the human dimensions of natural-resource management (e.g., sociology, communications, planning, political science, psychology, leisure, geography, anthropology), and an ability to work with colleagues from different academic disciplines and different natural-resource professions. A degree in a natural-resource field is not mandatory, but a demonstrated ability and willingness to work on natural-resource issues is essential.
