1994 campaign extended
Spectrum Volume 17 Issue 15 - December 8, 1994
The 1994 Combined Virginia Campaign (CVC) at Virginia Tech has been extended until December 16.
The extension puts this year's campaign on a par with those of the previous years and gives canvassers more time to achieve the $210,000 goal. Through the eighth week of the campaign, nearly 80 percent of the goal had been reached. The United Way of Montgomery County and Radford dependstcw on the Virginia Tech CVC campaign for approximately 25 percent of their annual fund-raising effort.
Virginia Tech employees may designate their contributions to any of the local, state, national, or international charitable organizations listed in the 1994 Community Connection brochure. These organizations have been screened for fiscal responsibility, so donors can be assured that their contributions actually help to make a difference.
Any employees who have not been contacted about the campaign and would like to contribute should contact Gloria Smith, 404 Clay Street, Campus 0348; phone: 1-4181; or GRAHAMGD @ VTVM1 .
