Spectrum Volume 17 Issue 25 - March 23, 1995
Virginia businesses will have an opportunity May 1-3 to meet business leaders from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay, and Venezuela who have an interest in trading with U.S. firms.
This opportunity to form trade partnerships will be part of Virginia Tech's Fifth Annual Global Market Opportunities Conference at Hotel Roanoke and Conference Center. Participants can also learn how to compete more effectively in a global economy, meet ambassadors and ministers of trade and economics from the eight featured countries, participate in discussions with business leaders who have compatible trade interests, and garner information from international trade sessions conducted by business and government leaders. Businesses also may display their products or promotional materials in an exhibition.
The conference is sponsored by Virginia Tech's Office of International Programs, the Virginia Department of Economic Development, Inter-American Development Bank, Organization of American States, United States Information Agency, and the Roanoke law firm of Woods, Rogers, and Hazelgrove.
Registration deadline for the conference is April 24 and for the exhibition, March 31.
