The Office of Risk Management has moved to Southgate Center into a portion of the area for the Controller's Office on the second floor.

GTA Fall Workshop next week
The fifth-annual three-day GTA Workshop will be held August 14-16 in 100 MCBryde for all new GTA's, beginning at 10 a.m. on Monday. The program includes more than 35 plenary and concurrent sessions led by faculty members, including members of the Academy of Teaching Excellence, as well as directors of support services and experienced GTA's.
Topics include teaching matters, grading, testing, ethics, relating to students, writing across the curriculum, support-service information, and microteaching.

CommonHealth programs offered
The CommonHealth program has a new newsletter called CommonHealth Connection.

DERC available in Fredericksburg
The Department of Employee Relations Counselors will meet with interested employees in Fredericksburg on Tuesday, Aug. 22, from 9:30 a.m.- 5:30 p.m., in meeting room 2 of the Central Rappahannock Public Library, Headquarters Branch, Caroline Street.
The counseling program provides employees outside the Richmond area with an opportunity to meet individually with a staff counselor and to receive assistance in options for dealing with work-related concerns, discussion of applicable state policies, information on the grievance procedure process, and/or referral for further assistance.
Half-hour appointments must be made in advance. To arrange an appointment, please call the Department at 1-800-552-9720.
